I helped feed the puppies.
I bathed and shampooed the puppy being shipped today. After checking one of the puppies for size and comfort in the pet carrier, I got a new one from the barn.
One puppy was taken to the airport and shipped to Oahu.
We stopped by where they are working on my tractor and I helped test it. So far we are having problems reproducing the problem I am having.
After returning to where I am staying, I set out on my own to go back to town. I went to Lowes and found a good, strong steel cable and lock and went back to lock down the trailer for the weekend. On Monday I’ll go back to see if I can reproduce the tractor problem again.
I grabbed a club sandwich from Pine Tree Cafe and ended up eating half of it while I slowly made my way back. We have had massive rain and thunder and lightning the past 2 days and it is expected to continue this weekend. Lightning has hit a few times very close to the house.
Back at the kennels, we watched as the backyard filled with water, causing us to move the Labs and Doodles from their side to a different kennel and moving the poodles inside the house. The canoy we were using for shade and protection, collapsed under the weight of retained water.
A co-op member stopped by to pick up some pet food. I dashed in-between rainstorms to get food loaded in her car.
The entrance gate stopped working and I had to find a battery for the keypad. Naturally it was raining hard when I had to install it.
I reset the shipping prices on one of the websites I manage and investigated the new Paypal connection.
There was a load of laundry I ran because all my clothes are dirty from the mud, or wet.
I had the second half of my sandwich for dinner, along with some split pea soup. The soup was quite good after being cold and wet all day.
I tried to nap a while but was called to help fix a problem.
There was more but I’m too tired to think what it was. I’ll be glad to get back to my own farm so I can get some things done down there.
