Recently I blogged about Lahaina Noon. This happens in the U.S. only in Hawaii because we are in the topics. Because of the suns position above the earth and the earths tilt, twice a year flagpoles and buildings (and I assume people) cast no shadow at noon. Lahina Noon is in progress across all islands.
