I’m watching Dog the Bounty Hunter on A&E and they came to Kona where Leland works. They are sitting at a restaurant eating and discussing the perp and I notice instantly where they are. The Hotel Manago is a famous place in Captain Cook with very good food. I took my Mom there when she visited and always suggest people eat there. It is very local and laid back.

Speaking of dogs, O`lena has been in season and I have had her on a lead to ensure she doesn’t meet any other dogs in the neighborhood. Last night I let her loose because she should not be breedable any more. She immediately bolted to the neighbors property with Koa following. I heard some commotion and minutes later she came back with something in her mouth. I assumed it was an avocado because that is what they head over there for. Unfortunately she held a small chicken and would not bring it to me. It was obviously dead and O`lena was carrying it, looking for a place to hide it. She hides avocados too.

To my knowledge, this is the first time she has grabbed something like this and I scolded her quite a bit. I hope she learns. For the moment, she is in the dog house and won’t be bailed out anytime soon.
