SHIPPING:
It is our custom to try to save you money wherever possible. This includes shipping items to you in a cost-effective manner. While some customers might prefer every shipping option imaginable, we currently have some limitations.
The farm is located in a rural area and the driveway is not yet useable by FedEx and UPS. Thus we drive to the Post Office or drop boxes to deliver items to be shipped. It is not yet cost-effective to make a small shipment via FedEx or UPS, but we will offer them as soon as we can.
In the meantime, we have found that our test mailings throught the Post Office are inexpensive and are delivered in 3 to 5 business days to the East Coast. Hopefully, this will suffice until we can make shipments via other carriers.
Smaller shipments are currently sent via USPS Flat Rate bags. We have sucessfully shipped up to 2 pounds of coffee this way at low cost to you. Larger packages will be shipped differently, as the package size dictates.
The table shows various shipping costs (as of 1/2/164). It uses a combination of flat rate envelopes, padded envelopes, medium and large boxes to give you the best shipping price.
All shipments are automatically insured up to $50.
Estimated costs are as follows. Up to the poundage in the left column, I charge:
1 | $5.05 |
2 | $5.70 |
3 | $10.10 |
6 | $11.30 |
10 | $15.80 |
We want you to be satisfied with our products. If for some reason you are not satisfied, please call me at the farm and I will try to make it right. The number to call for problems is 1-877-ITS-KONA (877-487-5662). Please remember that Hawaii time is about 5 or 6 hours earlier than Eastern Time.
