Spouting Off

While we were getting ready for the photo we take each night, we noticed the large sections of heavy clouds. As we looked south towards my house, we noticed a waterspout forming. For those uninitiated, a waterspout is kinda a tornado over the water. If it moves onto land it is a tornado.
The spout was quite difficult to see as it was only visable as a small funnel dropping a small distance distance from the far away clouds. I hope that someone well down the coast contacted the authorites (NOAA, the Coast Guard or National Weather Service). By the time we determined what it was, the event was pretty much over.
Then it was time for the photo. You can see dark clouds in the monthly photo, but no twister by going to http://konaweb.com and clicking on “Konaweb Parties”. The blank area of sky to the far right is where it was forming.
