Some Activity
I am waiting on the crematorium to tell me I can pick up O’Lenas ashes. I assume it will be Monday.
I went to Waikoloa Village Friday to help a friend and set up a VOIP telephone landline. We went out to lunch and came back and I worked on some computer accounts. When I left I took the wrong leftover box.
Then yesterday I got a call from the same friend that he had two friends coming into Kona on the ship and I drove into Kona to meet them. It turns out I had met them years ago when I gave a tour at a local coffee farm. We had a nice lunch at a Thai restaurant before they headed back to the ship for a 5pm departure. That is the same pier that Ironmen participants start and finishe the race.
I have to do some tree and bush prining and cleanup but I have also had some sholder paind. I bought a Royobi battery operated pruner to avoid muscle pain with my manually operated pruning shears.
I will need to get some concrete so I can make a pad for my lithium batteries to avoid placing them directly on the rocky ground. I also want to elevate them a bit in case of any water which might come nearby. Since they are just like giant car batteries, I won’t be mounting them on the wall like other batteries might be placed. That would necessitate a concrete or non flamable backing board.
I may be giving church tours 1 day this week so I’ll make sure I have nice clothes ready just in case. There is nothing worse than getting a call or remembering that I will be a tour guide that day and I only have shorts available. Generally I will give tours in long pants, sock, shoes and a really nice Aloha shirt. Otherwise I am wearing short, a t-shirt and slippers (flip flops as you know them). THAT is normal wear around the islands.
After a Costco run I am eating lots of mellon, including those mini seedless watermellons and a veriety of cantelope. Unlike living with other people, I tend to eat large amounts of one item until it runs out. I can’t blane Costco but when you buy something like a 40 pack of popcorn, you tend to eat more popcorn in a shorter time than most people, then not have any more until you forget how tired you were of it! Don’t even get me started telling you a 3 to 5 pound bag of candy at Holloween when you don’t expect any trick-or-treaters!
One thing that I once bought in bulk and will never get again are those cursed circus peanuts. They say the taste is banana but they just taste so much like a chemical to me.
