I have already made a bar of coconut glycerine soap and a nice orange bar. The orange bar will be a gift, so I also made a preliminary label with name, slogan and list of ingredients.
If the bars work out, I may add them to the list of items I will sell at the farmers markets. I am already seeing lots of two varieties of tangerines on the trees and have had lots of lemons. The rolinia are starting to ripen and I have had figs for a while. I also see a couple of small grapefruits and a sapote. I have had a small navel orange too.
I expect that at this time next year I should have a reasonable fruit assortment and perhaps even some spices by then. I’ll have to investigate spice preparation and dehydration possibilities.
Next year I hope for a reasonably sized coffee crop and will have pickers to help!
