I got a call tonight asking is we just had an earthquake. I didn’t feel one and asked why? The caller said he was listening to a local radio station over on Oahu and they said their studio was shaking. I checked online and sure enough, a 4.6 wa registered near Maui. Then a 20 minutes later a 3.3 just off my island. Then about 10 minutes later a 2.2 near the volcano. These were all in an arc similar to the volcano arc here that created the islands.
They mentioned it on TV during the Maui Invitational tonight when it struck during the game being held a few miles from the epicenter.
Those who follow sports may have heard that Colt Brennan was hurt the other day when his girlfriend drove the vehile across the center line and into another vehicle. A friend of mine sat next to both of them on the plane heading to Kona from Honolulu. Thise was a few days before the crash.
As Thanksgiving gets closer, people are defrosting their turkeys and getting ready to bake them. It is a good thing that Thanksgiving is held on a holiday, because the extra electric useage would really peg the meters if businesses were all running at full steam too.
You know, come to think about it, Christmas is also held on a holiday. Who would have guessed
I was out working on the farm today and will take tomorrow off. I still have to fix my pump and witch back over to my catchment system.
