Picnic

Our KonaWeb picnic was today and we usually hold it at the OLD airport (as compared to the NEW airport). I got there early to hold a couple of tables but the gate was closed. It seems that the county closed it for our protection. I’m not be sarcastic here, it really WAS for our protection. Gigantic waves were crashing along the coast and the pavilions were wet.

The Coast Guard flew a helicopter by a few times and I assume they were making sure no one was crazy enough to be in the water surfing.

You could see waves/surf far away because they were crashing with such force and sending water high up.

We ended up getting some tables near the ball field and had a great time, even though we were out of our element.
