I was prescribed Flomax for a prostate problem and I passed out when I got up too quickly. They had me stop taking the medicine until they could determine that it was the culprit. It is a side effect of the drug.

So now I am taking the medicine again beginning tonight and will have to be very careful getting up to ensure I don’t pass out again. My only concern is that if I get up in the middle of the night, I may not remember to rise slowly. Usually I have the problem of needing to get to the bathroom quickly and maneuver past the dogs, who have a tendency of sleeping on or near the bed in all sorts of different spots and positions.
