Christmas – 2015
It is 11pm on Christmas Eve and I am at work. Sure I’m retired but that doesn’t stop me.
The dogs, Koa and O`Lena are asleep on the floor but that doesn’t stop them either. Within seconds of typing that O`Lena decided she wanted a drink of water and headed into the master bathroom where they have a water dish. She often sleeps against the far wall, upside down or on the bed or on the dog bed/cushion. Koa sleeps in all places but the bathroom, although he used to. Perhaps he is just letting O`Lena have her own place.
So while the dogs sleep and most everyone else on the island does, I am backing up and soon will update a website from HTML to WordPress. I have designed the site and the owner likes it, but switching it over live during the day can be difficult, especially if things go slowly. I also have to address some issues with the statistics counters and Google to ensure the site does not drop lower in the rankings. So I figured nobody will be accessing it Christmas Eve or Day.
I don’t have plans for Christmas so getting this site converted will be my main goal. It’s fine with me and just as relaxing as sitting and watching TV.
On my way into town today I got stuck in a traffic stop. There was a car overturned. I hope no one was seriously injured, but suspect they may have. I have not seen any police report on fatalities today so have my fingers crossed.
My neighbor Denver has finished Book 2 of his trilogy and sent it to the publisher. He expects it also to appear on Amazon in a few days.
I have been creating the book covers; a bit surprising because I had never done it before. However, a free copy and Photoshop and some online tutorials and I have been able to muddle along.
Here is the second book cover:
