I have every intention of doing that, but something always gets in theway. Oftentimes, MANY THINGS get in the way.
I don’t have an up to date list of current addresses for my friends. If I could afford it, all of my customers would get a physical card, but that is hundreds of people and some of those addresses may not be up to date either.
I keep wanting to create a card with guard dog Koa and I in the coffee field. Next year the trees will be tall enough for a nice photos. Perhaps I’ll be pruning a tree and Koa will be doing what dogs do, trying to help me fertilize the ground
I received a newsletter from some friends. They have a very active life, cruising around the world and interacting with friends and family. My life is somewhat more tame here. There was the isue at the airport the last week where I interacted with TSA’s and the police, but that is another story for another day. Then we had the waterspout (tornado) up in Kona.
I have created newsletters for both a computer group I used to belong to and for the coffee business. Perhaps I’ll just post a year end newsletter and email everyone to it. These blogs kinda serve the same purpose; to let you know what is happening out here, how the farm has progressed, how the rain is doing, what Koa has gotten into and so on.
I have software which allows me to create an internet radio station and sound professional at it. Readers may remember that I used to be a DJ. I could spend a few hours getting it ready and crank it up on Christmas day, then direct all my customers and friends to it for some Hawaiian Christmas music and “Alohas” from Koa and I to the world, with hopes for peace and good tidings throughout the new year. I am afraid that only a couple people would actually be near a computer on Christmas day and with all the hub-bub on the holiday, never really appreciate the effort. Legally, I would have to pay fees fro use of the music and there is a learning curve for people to tune in if they have never used internet radio before. I could create a short audio piece with some music and well-wishes and just let people access it on demand, rather than live. That’s a thought.
Me as a DJ many years ago! The photo needs restoration and look at those sideburns!
So with all of the ideas I have, as far-fetched as they may be, I doubt few of them will be done this year. However, with a bit of planning, I can see many of them happening in 2010. Of course many of these are already being carried forward from last year…
I can proudly say that I DID get my Christmas presents sent out to Mom and my younger Sister, before Christmas! I may send a package to my older Sister and all her crew next week.
At years end I’ll get some blog entry or newsletter done bringing you up to date on what I accomplished (or didn’t) during the year. Then I can start deciding what things to carry forward and not do next year
