A Spark
I needed a business checking account, but usually they cost money to open and have recurring charges.
I had received a check made out to my business name rather than to me and I preferred not to have to send it back and ask for a reissue.
I found Spark (which is another Capital One business). Capital One had purchased ING DIRECT and ShareBuilder a while back and did not appear to change them for the worse. They offer both business checking and savings online. Two days ago I signed up online (I just needed a physical address and my SSN because I am a sole-propriator) and today the two deposits were made to my external checking account to link it to my Spark account. So in 2 days I created the account and was able to deposit the check. I’ll let you know how things go, but so far I’m happy.
