There is a section which used to be a valley, but was filled with many of the macadamia nut trees that were cleared out. Along the north side, the earth mover also pushed some lose rocks to even the areas out.
When I was driving the tractor near this, I found the recent rains had loosened the area and I began to slide sideways, down the small hill. While this may not sound dangerous, it is quite dangerous. It is possible to tip the tractor over and the only think holding the driver in place is a seat belt and a 1 inch by 2 inch steel bar called rollover protection.
I called a neighbor who sold me the tractor and has one himself. Although he only had a few hours to spare, he was able to stop by and help me get it out of its self-made ditch.
To ensure that I don’t venture too close again, I’ll cordon that area off. It will look odd, but the only person to see the “police tape” will be my neighbor.
