With my Amazon Prime membership and my Roku device, I have been watching episodes of “Friday Night Lights”. For those not familiar with the TV series, it follows the lives of a fictional town of Dillon Texas and their devotion to High School football.

I was not able to follow the early episodes every week and have started over with the series which started in 2006.

You don’t have to be a football fan to enjoy the series because although it involves the team, it is more about their lives and character. It is not as dramatic as a soap opera and the situations do not seem contrived.

Well developed and acted flawed characters in believable situations. No wonder the series won 3 Primetime Emmys, another 8 wins & 49 nominations.
